Two days after JNU students, teachers and journalists were assaulted outside the Patiala House court, the accused identified from the footage as Vikram Chauhan is leading a protest outside the Patiala House court once again, as a scuffle once again broke out between groups of lawyers.

The lawyers managed to manhandle JNU Students’ Union head Kanhaiya Kumar when he was being produced before the court.

Speaking to media personnel outside the court, Chauhan along with other lawyers was still unrepentent about his actions and promised more violence saying, “Jo Pakistan zindabad keh rahe hain, aap unhe hero bana rahe hain.” The group raised slogans like “Bharat Mata ki jai”, India Today reported.

As the court gates were closed, another scuffle was reported as journalists were once again attacked by the group of lawyers. A reporter named Tariq Anwar from Firstpost said that lawyers started beating him up when he took pictures of the scuffle.

He said that there were two groups and he was beaten up by an anti-Kanhaiya group member, and added, “Police was a mute spectator like yesterday. I have photos to prove it.”

Additional security forces have been deployed at the Patiala House court premises, while Vikram Chauhan, seen assaulting journalists in a footage from Monday, is still at large.
