Ringing Bells, the makers of the world’s cheapest smartphone, Freedom 251, has now decided to refund the payments it received on the first pre-booking date. The move comes after the company got 30,000 applications on its first booking date which led to its website getting crashed states a report by ABP News.

The company has also decided to accept payments only through cash-on-delivery and will do away with online payment.

Since the very beginning, the company has always been in controversy. From its website crashing to various accusations of being called a scam, Ringing Bells has been facing a lot of trouble and this perhaps is the best way out of it. But let’s see if they can live up to the promise.
