A bespectacled middle-class man, Sawhney is hopelessly single when the unexpected happens. He gets to marry Taani, who loses her husband to an accident on her wedding day, and falls in love with her. When all his efforts to win her fail, he enrolls for a dance contest that Taani is also a part of. He disguises himself as Raj and wins her heart. But would Taani run away with him and ditch her husband? The movie is wonderfully picturised and the music score is worth listening to.

Imtiaz Ali rolls out romance marvels one after another and this one is just one of his many gems. Two parallel stories set in different ears run parallel and have a similar ending. The movie is based on the fact that a lot changes as time goes by, but what remains the same, is love, or the idea of it. Saif Ali Khan does a great job as Jai Vardhan Singh and Veer Singh. The movie makes you dance to the numbers and at the same time, it also makes you think.
