Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are back as Sherlock Holmes and James Watson. But this time they return in a different way, and time, than before. Fans of the series anxiously await the 4th season to be released but separate from that comes the ‘Sherlock Special’. And yes, it really is a special treat for Sherlock fans as the shows co-creator Steven Moffat confirmed:
“The ‘special’ is its own thing. We wouldn’t have done the story we’re doing, and the way we’re doing it, if we didn’t have this special. It’s not part of the run of three episodes.”
