An orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Mathew Varghese runs India’s last polio ward at St. Stephen’s Hospital in Delhi. Five years back, India accounted for nearly half of all new wild polio virus cases in the country. And as of today, January 13 th , 2014, the country celebrates three years without a single case.
