Living a life without regrets is everyone’s dream but somewhere in the middle of it all, we get so consumed with trivial things that we sideline our future. What we are left with is nothing but a million “what ifs?” It is up to us to take charge of our lives and do certain things so that we don’t regret later. Like these:

1.Start saving because every drop fills the mighty ocean.

Even if you can set aside only Rs. 500 every month, do it. Even small savings are a great umbrella to protect you on a rainy day. Isn’t it better to depend on yourself rather than anyone else? So, keep a hidden stash of money for a time when the chips are down.

2. Work can wait, but life can’t!

Yes, working hard is important but so is living life. Don’t get so consumed with work that you forget how to live. Take that dream holiday while you still can and don’t postpone it for the future.

3. Don’t let stress affect the quality of your life.

Stress is the biggest hurdle between you and your happiness. Even if happiness comes and kisses you on the face, you won’t be able to tell because you are too busy worrying about something else. Let go off the stress and cherish the little joys of life.

4. Take a risk. Try doing what you love for a living.

If you don’t like your job then quit. If you are tired of doing what you are, then take a sabbatical. Confucius once said ” If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life”. Now that is something to live by.

5. Take care of your body.

Exercising really helps. Trust me! It makes you feel more confident, energetic and it improves your body image. It is important to eat to your heart’s content. But it is also important to remember that excess of anything is bad. The same goes for dieting. Eat healthy and balance it out with a solid exercising regime and you are good to go.

6.Spend time with your family and open up to them.

People are like investments and your family is your most valuable investment. Any relationship only works when you nurture it with time and love. Your family members are the only ones who will love you unconditionally and will be there by your side when the going gets tough.

7. Cherish your friends.

It is always good to make new friends but there is a different kind of comfort with friends you have known for a long time. Just remember when life gives you a bunch of lemons, it will be your friends who will be there to help you make lemonade. After all, a friend in need is a friend indeed.

8. Live life on your own terms.

Don’t let stereotypes bog you down. If you are a guy who likes cooking and your friends make fun of you then ditch those friends but don’t quit cooking. If you are girl who likes to ride motorcycles and people have a problem with that, then show those people the middle figure and go buy another bike. At least this way, when you are older, you won’t feel that you let someone else dictate your life.

9. Invest in the right life insurance.

Life is not a bed of roses; it can be very unpredictable. While it is good to hope for the best, it is even better to be prepared for the worst. So, invest in the right life insurance plan and secure your loved ones. Be #BefikarUmarBhar

10. Ask out that crush of yours.

The worst thing that’ll happen is that you will be rejected, right? Isn’t it better to know what the answer is rather than wondering “what if”? Relationships that are stuck in limbo make us regret our choices the most. So, save your future self the torture and go ask out your crush. Fortune favours the brave and so does love.
