On day one of the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the organizers of the event suffered some major embarrassment when they positioned the Indian national flag upside down.

But what’s even more embarrassing was that our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, gingerly walked onto the podium where our flag was hoisted along with the Japanese flag (guess you can’t go wrong with that), and shook hands with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe as if nothing was wrong with the picture.

I mean, I get it – Narendra Modi is a busy man and he can’t really inspect everything about the venue, but come on dude, it’s the national flag. You could’ve done something!

Thankfully, the Indian Imgur/Reddit community rose up to the occasion and fixed the picture for us.

Why? Because our flag should always fly high. In the proper manner.
