Masaan, Neeraj Ghaywan’s debut direction film made it to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival along with a Punjabi movie named Chauthi Koot .
The Richa Chadda, Sanjay Mishra and Vicky Kaushal starrer film is an Indo-French film produced by produced by Manish Mundra, Macassar Productions, Phantom Films, Sikhya Entertainment, Arte France Cinema and Pathe productions, and is based on a drama entirely shot in Varanasi. It was screened on May 19, at the 68th Cannes Film Festival.
The movie was showcased in the Un Certain Regard section and received a 5-minute long standing ovation from the crowd as the movie ended.
