As the video for Allah-Las’ No Werewolf begins, the simple spinning wheel in dark black and white doesn’t look like much. But as the song progresses, a hand emerges, and as the wheel continues to whirl, beautiful shapes and lines appear, then give way to new figures, at times resembling a vinyl record.
The talent behind this video is Russian sculptor Mikhail Sadovnikov, who uses clay and a potter’s wheel to create art which he calls “dance on the circle”. Watch the entire video here.
