Zak Ebrahim was born in a Muslim household in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the USA. Up until 7 years of age, he had a comfortable childhood. But post that, he was exposed to the fact that his dad wasn’t just a engineer like he had claimed to be. His father was part of the terrorist group responsible for the World Trade Center bombing in 1993. Like most fathers, he too wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. But Zak did not. It is only fair that you hear the rest from Zak himself. He stepped on to the TEDTalks stage and intrigued everyone with his courage and his life’s story. Here is the video:

Zak chose a different life for himself and authored a book called ‘The Terrorist’s Son’. He hopes that his story can encourage others to choose the path he chose.
