“I hope you’re ready, because I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended. And if you’re listening to these tapes, you’re one of the reasons why.”

Hello, welcome to your tape.

One of the most watched Netflix originals, 13 Reasons Why, based on the 2007 novel by the same name by Jay Asher, has become the talk of the town with its gripping story and graphic screenplay. But most importantly, for bringing real-life issues like mental health that nobody cares enough to talk about.

Ever since its release, the show has started a much-needed conversation about mental health and suicide. Hannah Baker, a high school teenager, commits suicide and leaves behind 13 tapes where each of them talks about the series of events that pushed her to commit the act.

Here are 13 dialogues from the show that will make you sit back and talk about mental health.
