A 23-year-old trainee engineer was shot dead by an unidentified man in the wee hours of Wednesday in Noida Sector 62.
The deceased, Anjali Rathour was an employee with Lava International Limited and originally hailed from Jagadhri, near Yamuna Nagar in Haryana.
The cold blood murder was caught on CCTV camera where an unidentified man can be seen chasing Anjali with a gun in the parking lot of Shatabdi Rail Vihar at around 6:30 am.
According to Hindustan Times, the police claimed that the attacker entered the gated complex after registering himself as Sonu followed which he killed Anjali. However, poor video quality has prevented the police from identifying the murderer. A case of murder has been registered at the Sector 58 police station.
Anjali's family members have filed an FIR against some Ashwani who they believe could behind the murder.
Police said that Ashwani had allegedly called Anjali at around 6 am before committing the crime.
According to TOI, Arun Kumar Singh, SP City Noida suspects that the deceased's boyfriend could be behind the murder. "We are investigating the matter and the accused will be arrested soon," Singh said.
