Initial reports claim the militants were on a motorcycle when they began firing indiscriminately and then rode away quickly.

The army cordoned off some parts of Pampore immediately and began a house-to-house search operation to nab the attackers, reports The Hindu.
Pampore has witnessed several terror strikes this year. The seven-story Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) building in the town was attacked in both February and October.
