A day after the dramatic expulsion of Akhilesh Yadav from Samajwadi Party by his father and party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister has been inducted back into the party, reports NDTV.
The announcement came after Akhilesh, accompanied by Samajwadi Party leader and cabinet minister Azam Khan, met with the party chief at his residence.
Party's General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav's expulsion has also been annulled.
Both the leaders were expelled from from the party on Friday evening, in one of the biggest turn of event ahead of the UP assembly elections, by Mulayam Singh Yadav, who termed it as a move to save the party. He had said that the party will decide on the new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
