Deep Shankar, a cyber expert confirmed the leak and told India Today, "The leak is confirmed. The copy of the movie is available on the darknet and soon it will be available on torrent."

On the other hand, another cyber expert Kislay Chaudhary had claimed that many websites had blocked the pirated content and removed the links right away.

However, the film's production house, Yash Raj Films reportedly refrained from commenting on the leakage of the film.

With the rampant increase in technology and internet accessibility, the ill-effects of piracy and its reach has drastically increased, causing a major havoc among the film fraternity.

Sultan's leak comes right after the multistarrer adult comedy, Great Grand Masti's Censor Board copy was leaked online three days ago. Not just these two movies, a few weeks ago the film Udta Punjab had also been leaked online a day before its theatrical release.
