After the massive controversy over ‘toppers’ in the Bihar Board, another exam scam has hit the state. This time it’s at the Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) in Muzaffarpur, where 30 students were given pass marks even though their answer sheets were blank.

The results of the students, who had taken their second-year examination of BRABU’s Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course, were declared recently. The matter came to light when the students asked for their answer sheets to be scrutinised, reported The Hindustan Times.

An official said that when the answer sheets, all of which belonged to students of LND College of Motihari in East Champaran district, were re-examined, it turned out that not a single word had been written on them.

The university has now served show cause notices to the examiners and demanded an explanation from them.

This isn’t the first such incident at the university. Last year, passing marks were given on about 40 blank answer sheets of final year examination of homeopathy.
