1. Sayani grabbed the role in ‘Fan’, thanks to Facebook.

YRF’s casting team couldn’t reach her on her phone and thus left a message for her on Facebook. Sayani had no idea she would be cast alongside SRK when she went for the audition. 

2. About her experience on working with SRK, she said, “He doesn’t make you feel that he is a star. He is a humble, gracious and warm person.” 

She added, “After the first day of shoot he hugged me and said ‘Baby, you are talented, you have a long way to go’. I did not expect a comment like this from a superstar like him.”

3. Sayani had a job in marketing before she entered films. She always knew acting was her calling. 

4. She says she’d love to do a song and dance film in Bollywood. She has been training as a dancer for 14 years. 

5. Sayani has done quite a lot of plays in theater.

6. She has already signed big projects and will next be seen as a 14-year-old in Ranbir-Katrina starrer, Jagga Jasoos.

7. She will also be seen in an important role in the film, Baar Baar Dekho, which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif. 

8. She told DNA, “It’s like a dream that I am living. I feel fortunate, blessed and lucky to have been a part of these 3 big films. My role in all these films is interesting.”

9. Sayani says she will consider herself famous when people know how to pronounce her name correctly (it’s pronounced as ‘Shayoni’).

10. She dreams to work with directors like Wes Anderson & Wong Kar-wai one day.
