It’s a well-known fact that Tamil superstar Rajnikanth is a rage in the South. The actor’s stardom and popularity is unquestionable. It’s often said that his fans never fail to catch the first day first show of all his movies.

Keeping in mind the love and admiration people have for him, many startup employers in Chennai have decided to welcome his new movie Kabali in their unique way by booking entire cinema halls for their employees.

This tradition is not new for FreshDesk, an online customer support software provider, where the entire office had headed to watch Rajni’s previous blockbusters, Enthiran, Kochadaiiyaan and Lingaa, says a report in TOI

Vignesh Vijayakumar, FreshDesk’s marketing head told TOI,

“We are planning to take our employees (to watch the movie) on Saturday after the release and are in talks with Satyam Cinemas. We are looking to accommodate everyone at the main screen which has a capacity of almost 600 people.”

Other startups such as TheSocialPeople is reportedly going to organise a Rajnikanth costume day where every employee would be required to dress up as a character from one of his films.

Anshuman Dutta, senior manager at Fantain told TOI,

“Internally we are planning contests among employees. They will have to identify the name of the film based on the dialogue.” The winner receives four tickets and the runner-up gets two”

Another start up GoBumpr, has come up with a quirky social media campaign, ‘Kabali-fy your car or vehicle’,  paralleling it with the superstar’s royal demeanor.

The co-founder of GoBumpr gave a statement to TOI,

“The idea is to spread the message that if good care is given to your vehicle, it can be like the superstar who maintains his charisma even at the age of 65,”

Kabali T-shirt and mugs have already become a rage amongst fans with a merchandise site CoverItUp already showing its sold all its stock.

That’s Rajnikanth power!
