The new version Tamma Tamma from Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer film Badrinath Ki Dulhania, choreographed by Bosco Martis, has struck a right chord with many ever since its release.
Making its way to the top on the music chart, this foot tapping number may have won a million hearts including many in the film industry.
But cracking the nut seems difficult in choreographer Saroj Khan's case as according to a report filed by DNA, she's quite miffed with the remake of the iconic song.
The report suggests that while artists associated with the original Tamma Tamma song from the 1990 film Thanedar including dancing queen Madhuri Dixit Nene and singer Bappi Lahiri took an active part throughout the shoot and launch, it was Saroj Khan who was not even invited.
“Maybe they felt since my assistant Madhuri Dixit was there, they didn’t need me around. Moreover, the new version of any of my dance numbers have to be of some standard for them to invite me to watch it. I haven’t seen the whole song. I’ve just seen the trailer. And I can’t comment,” said Khan.
Here's the original 90's Tamma Tamma song:
Earlier, Madhuri Dixit was seen teaching her signature steps from the song to Alia and Varun.
Even though the original voices have been kept untouched, Tamma Tamma Again has been remastered by Tanishk Bagchi and Badshah.
With Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, the film Badrinath Ki Dulhania directed by Shashank Khaitan, is all set to hit the theaters on March 10.
