Senior journalist and NDTV's Consulting Editor, Barkha Dutt, has alleged that she has been receiving death threats due to her reportage on the issue of anti-national slogans being chanted by students in JNU.
On Tuesday, Dutt appeared before the metropolitan magistrate court at Saket to record her statement. She had earlier filed a police complaint at the Greater Kailash police station on March 4.

“On the basis of the journalist’s claims, an FIR under relevant sections of IPC was registered against the unknown person and investigation is underway. We are trying to track down the number and the system from where the call was generated. Efforts are being made to trace the IP address of the caller,” a senior police officer said as per a report by the Hindustan Times.
