With all the things that are going on in the world these days, the difficult question arises as to which is the safest place on Earth? But the problem with trying to figure out the safest place depends upon a lot of factors. One being that you can’t predict the future. A place that has been safe from natural disasters like hurricanes, floods, earthquakes etc. is not guaranteed to stay safe for long, seeing the drastic effects of climate change.

But apparently, there is such a place on earth that will survive through any extremities.

Somewhere between Norway and the North Pole lies the geographically stable ‘Svalbard Global Seed Vault’ which is 130 meters above sea-level.

With the temperature being -18 degrees inside the vault, it’s believed to hold the seeds alive for 4000 years. And it has all different types of seeds necessary for genetic variation.

So if things get so bad that we have to start all over again, this video reveals our backup plan.

I just hope they have a McDonald’s seed in there!
