Its almost been a month since Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and its director Karan Johar started receiving threats of violence from political party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Even Karan Johar’s video statement requesting for calm so that the film can be released made no difference.

In a last ditch measure, a delegation led by Film & Television Producers Guild of India president Mukesh Bhatt and Apoorva Mehta from Dharma Productions met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi on Thursday seeking support for the smooth release of the film.

  • Rajnath Singh has assured there will be no law and order situation and he will speak to all state CMs.
  • We have given them a clear mandate and government of India will decide the parameters how we operate and no one else.
