The city of Gurgaon was completely paralysed on Thursday night with citizens founding themselves in knee-deep water in many parts of the city and many of those on the road found themselves stuck in traffic for over six hours, reports Hindustan Times.

The situation didn’t seem to have improved on Friday morning forcing the Gurgaon police to issue an advisory asking people commuting from Delhi to stay away.

They also tweeted to say that there was flooding in a major intersection and the NH8 Higway was blocked.

The Haryana government has reportedly called an emergency meeting to deal with the monster traffic jams and heavy waterlogging.

Meanwhile, the Congress and the AAP have lashed out at the Khattar government for failing to manage the situation.

But despite all this there’s not been much respite for the residents or commuters.
