I believe Rajasthan has the kind of beauty that can’t easily be put into words. Stroll through the streets of any one of its cities, and each turn will bring you new surprises either in the form of a bedecked camel strutting its way to the market or a small thrift store offering the best antiques you’ve ever seen.

With its rolling dunes of sand, vibrant hues that are almost universally thought of as synonymous with the state, great music, timeless culture and delicious cuisine, Rajasthan is a gem in every sense of the word. And the lens of two of India’s prominent photo-bloggers, Auditya Venkatesh and Lakshmi Sharath more than proves it.

1. I can’t decide which one’s the better choice.

2. And here we have the setting for a perfect date.

3. You can’t get this view from your penthouse.

4. You have to admit that this is way better than the History books made it out to be.

5. You may be cool, but you’re not as cool as a flock of sheep standing in the middle of the road not giving a damn cool.

6. That’s what a good candid-on-purpose shot looks like.

7. The only thing this shot needs is me dressed to the nines and dancing to Ghoomar in the middle of this Bauli.

8. This is the moment when you’re choosing which one of the 40 selfies you took looks best.

And let’s all say thanks to the folks over at Nissan Terrano for making this road trip possible for Auditya and Lakshmi. I wish I was as talented as them, but since I’m not, I’m just going to look at these pictures (and the video below) and drool.
