Piers Morgan and his Twitter account have been in Indian news in the recent past. It started when he pointed out that India won only 2 medals and still celebrated wildly.
Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that? https://t.co/FYSBM7ErAf— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 24, 2016
And you can imagine how Indians reacted after that. It's safe to say he has been taking a regular bashing from Indian Twitter users, who were lead by none other than Virender Sehwag.
We cherish every small happiness',But Eng who invented Cricket,&yet2win a WC,still continue to playWC.Embarrassing? https://t.co/0mzP4Ro8H9— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) August 24, 2016
Piers Morgan, though did not back down and challenged Viru to a wager.
Hi @virendersehwag, I bet you 1 million rupees to charity that England wins a ODI World Cup before India wins another Olympic Gold. Accept?— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 30, 2016
Although Sehwag hasn't replied to this tweet from Morgan yet, he was invited by Arnab Goswami to speak about the Brit's views on India. But he declined to do so, and told us about it on Twitter.
Arnab Goswami wants me to speak on that British guys views on India on NewsHour, but that man doesnt deserve any airtime, hence I have denied— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) September 2, 2016
Piers Morgan already knew how batsmen who face Brett Lee feel like. He now also knows how bowlers who face Viru feel like.
