A senior Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) officer from Rajasthan was found dead inside a car along with a dead body of a woman in Jaipur. The bodies of the Additional SP Ashish Prabhakar and a woman inside an SUV parked on the Mahal road at Shivdaspura was found on Thursday night a location which is at a distance of 30 km from the state capital.   

According to a report by India Today, both Prabhakar and the woman were killed from the shots fired from the former's service revolver. The identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, says that the officer first killed the 36-year-old woman after which he killed himself. 

"It appears that the officer had shot the woman following some confrontation. The woman has not yet been identified. In a confused state of mind, he had first called up the police control room about a body and later committed suicide," a senior police officer told The Times of India.

An NDTV report says, that family issues might have been the reason behind his suicide. It also adds that he wasn't handling any case in the Anti-Terror Squad since his appointment last month.
