External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and PM Narendra Modi aren't the best of the friends. That's no secret. It's also no secret that the media is constantly on the lookout for signs of friction between them. But on Tuesday, the minister trolled the media before they could even begin speculating on her absence from the cabinet reshuffle.
First, Sushma Swaraj tweeted congratulating all her new ministerial colleagues and announced well in advance that she wouldn't be there for their swearing-in:
I am unable to attend the swearing in ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan since I have a meeting with Foreign Minister of Hungary. /1— Sushma Swaraj (@SushmaSwaraj) July 5, 2016
I congratulate and welcome all my colleagues joining the Council of Ministers. /2— Sushma Swaraj (@SushmaSwaraj) July 5, 2016
And then she did this epic troll of the media:
Media - Pl avoid the headline : 'Sushma skips Oath Ceremony'.— Sushma Swaraj (@SushmaSwaraj) July 5, 2016
Now we're going to have to come up with a new headline for the event now.
Well played madam. Well played.
