Aamir Khan is the only Bollywood actor whose three blockbuster films have released in China in the past. Cashing on his popularity among the Chinese audiences, Aamir is now busy promoting his latest critically acclaimed film, Dangal in Beijing.

For the promotions, the 52-year-old actor recently attended the Beijing International Film Festival where Dangal was screened.

China, a while ago, had decided to increase the quota of Indian films to be screened from two to four after the joint productions Kung Fu Yoga  and Buddies in India fared well at the box office in the country. And Aamir, who received a warm welcome at the airport, feels that films from both the countries could bring the two nations close.

He has been quoted by India Today as saying that there are similarities between India and China in terms of culture and that he feels more comfortable and closer to the people in China than in the West.

During the festival, the actor who portrays the character of a wrestler in his film, even got an opportunity to meet the basketball player Stephon Marbury.

And while in the company of Chinese actress Liu Yifei, Aamir also reportedly expressed his desire to work with her during the event.

He not only managed to woo the crowd with his singing skills but also tried his luck with delivering a dialogue in mandarin.

Dangal is a sports biopic, based on the real life of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat along and his daughters Geeta and Babita.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie which also features Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Suhani Bhatnagar and Zaira Wasim in the lead role, is all set to hit the theatres in China next month.
