Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Friday appeared before a Jodhpur court to sign a bail bond in connection with arms act case that had been filed against the actor in 1998.

After acquitting the actor in the case, the district court had asked Salman to deposit Rs 20,000 bail bond.

What was the case?

The forest department had filed a case against Khan under the Arms Act in October 1998 for allegedly keeping and using firearms with an expired license.

Salman was accused of using the guns for the alleged poaching of two black bucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur.

The 51-year old actor was in Jodhpur at that time along with his co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu for the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hai.

The next hearing has been scheduled for October 5.
