'Na ka matlab sirf na hi hota hai.'

This dialogue from Pink delivered by Amitabh Bachchan resonates in our ears even today. All those who have watched the 2016 film know that it was the movie that finally gave a narrative to the modern Indian woman.

The courtroom drama concerns itself with the story of three city girls played by Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang. The three set out to find justice in a sexual assault case but find themselves stuck in a counter-case of prostitution. Their lawyer, played by Amitabh Bachchan, does a great job at defending the girls and also establishing the importance of consent.

The film won hearts and Big B's performance which had feminist undertones was widely appreciated.

And it has been a year already since the film's release. To commemorate the event, Bachchan posted a photo on Twitter with the caption, "The team of 'PINK' .. all in one frame".

But to our collective surprise, the photo had only the male members of the women-oriented film.

The irony here wasn't lost at all as the Twitter bird fluttered with criticism.

Thank you, Big B, for teaching us how patriarchy will always thrive.
