The World Cup has already begun but the Indian team has been watching from the sidelines.
It's been 6 days since the tournament began but India hasn't played a single game yet. India’s first opponent, South Africa, would be playing its third match in the tournament tomorrow.
Hosts England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan would all have also got two games out of the way by the time India plays its first match tomorrow.
According to News18, India was to play Bangladesh on 2nd June but the ICC changed the fixture at the request of the BCCI.

According to reports, the board cited the guidelines of the Lodha Committee which state that India could only play International Cricket post a 15-day recovery period after the IPL.
India will play South Africa tomorrow and will be looking to get a good start to their tournament.
