RDJ Didn't Want To Say Iron Man's Iconic Last Words In Endgame
He had to be convinced.
May 9, 2019
If you've seen
, you know there is one line that stands above all else and stays with you.
"I am Iron Man."
And that one line brings the Infinity Saga to a full circle before concluding it.
Well, it turns out Robert Downey Jr. didn't want to say it.
Downey apparently didn't want to go back into that emotional state because 'it was hard'. But luckily, producer Joel Silver, an old friend of RDJ convinced him otherwise.
The original ending of the film didn't have Tony Stark say anything. So the Russo brothers canned that scene and reshot it in January 2019.
Robert Downey Jr. had kickstarted the Infinity Saga with the words 'I am Iron Man' and it was only fitting that he ended it with the same words.
And we're thankful he did.
