The specific details of famous studio mergers are often very difficult to ascertain. But Slashfilm has reported that if Spider-Man: Far From Home doesn't earn a billion dollars, Sony will take back Spidey from the MCU.
Journalist Richard Rushfield’s entertainment industry newsletter talks about the deal that Marvel Studios made with Sony back in 2015 to share the character.

He writes:

"The original Spidey deal to co-produce these movies stipulated that if this Spidey cleared a billion, Marvel would get to oversee a third. If it hadn’t, full control would have reverted back to Sony."
Far From Home has not yet crossed the billion dollar mark at the worldwide box office, but don't worry just yet. It has already made over $600 mn in its first week.
So practically speaking, it will cross that billion dollar mark and we will get at least one more Spider-Man movie.
So let's not panic but keep our fingers crossed.
