The researcher’s purpose was to find out whether dogs and human beings can be tested in the same MRI scanner. 18 bearded men and 30 furry dogs were chosen for the study and the results showed that all the men had high microbial counts in comparison to the 23 out of 30 dogs.

They even compared the microbial count of a scanner used by only humans and the joint scanner used for the study. Turns out the one used by humans had a high count of bacteria as compared to the one used by both dogs and people.

Study author Andreas Gutzeit said,

Another thing they discovered was some of the bearded men had such high microbial count that they could fall terribly sick.
