This Doggo Survived 17 Bullet Wounds, A Maimed Ear & Eye To Become A Therapy Dog & Help Hoomans

Raunaq Bhatti

When Maggie the doggo was found in Lebanon, she was pregnant and abandoned, tied to box. What was truly miraculous is that even though Maggie was found with 17 bullet wounds, one eye shot out, her eat cut off and with a broken jaw, she had survived the trauma against all odds.

Her life turned around when she was rescued by an animal charity, Wild At Heart. News of her miracle rescue travelled all the way from Lebanon to Brighton, when Brighton resident Kasey adopted the 5-year-old girl and gave her a second chance at life.

Kasey had to petition long and hard to get her home – he organised a 6-month-long online campaign to get Maggie out of Lebanon.

Maggie is now spreading smiles in Brighton. She is Instagram-famous too, as ‘Maggie The Wunderdog‘, and has a fan-following of above 86,000!

She has recently registered to be a therapy dog. She is visiting care homes, hospitals and universities to spread cheer and positivity.

Sharing this news with Instagram, Kasey wrote,

Yesterday me and Maggie went to meet with her assessor, @maherandhounddogtraining she flaunted her stuff and gave it her best go and she PASSED. Maggie is now a registered therapy dog with @underdog_international. She and I will speak to schools and work hands-on with youngsters. I know what happened to Maggie was horrendous but if her story can educate and inspire others to do good then at least we can do our part to make this world a little brighter.

Maggie’s miracle has captured hearts all across the UK – now she and Kasey are working full-time offering help to others both online and in person. Our hearts go out to this lovely girl.
