Mumbai’s Western Railways Stops For 5 Minutes To Save The Life Of A Pigeon Stuck In A Kite Thread

It’s not every day that we get to hear stories that reaffirm our faith in humanity. 

However, in a recent heartfelt incident, Western Railways stopped its services for 5 minutes to rescue a pigeon which was stuck on an overhead equipment mast. 

The incident took place during the morning hour on January 16, in Mumbai’s Goregaon railway station.

The pigeon was reportedly stuck in a kite thread.

According to India Times, one of the passengers in the train informed the station master about the trapped pigeon.

He then alerted the fire brigade and other authorities.

Following that, the power supply was temporarily stopped for 5 minutes, enough to release the bird from the trap.
