Amrita Pritam needs no introduction. Considered the first prominent female Punjabi writer of the 20th century, literature boasts of her laurels as a prolific writer. Best known for her novel, Pinjar, she has more than a hundred novels and several meaningful poems to her credit which manage to cast a spell even to this day. 

Even decades ago, she was bold enough to live life on her own terms, which can be spotted in her writings too. Here are some of her best poems that continue to live on.
