Fitzwilliam Darcy has made his way into our hearts as the brooding man who found the fault in his ways and charmed his way to the other side. He became the archetype of the rich, young, brooding man. He became the prototype on whom was based every romantic hero to come thereafter. Whereas Grey, although he tried really, really hard, could not match up to what Mr. Darcy was. So we just thought up all the ways these two would’ve had conversations, had they been contemporaries in this world.
