Miss World 2017 – Manushi Chhillar. Yes, Manushi has become the first Indian woman to win the prestigious beauty pageant since Priyanka Chopra in the year 2000.
Having won the Femina Miss India 2017, Chhillar was competing for the title with contestants from 108 other countries held in the Sanya City Arena, China.
The 21-year old has spent her growing up years in Delhi, having gone to school at St. Thomas and then Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat.
The entire Chhillar family was present, as Manushi got crowned by last year’s winner Miss Puerto Rico Stephanie Del Valle.
She was announced as the winner, after she reached the top 5 of the competition along with England, France, Kenya and Mexico.
