Hindu, Muslim & Christian In One Frame, Shashi Tharoor’s Post Is Viral For All The Right Reasons

While India is constitutionally a secular state, religion-based crimes are at an all time high right now. From people being lynched for eating beef to those being forced to chant ‘Jai Mata Di‘, a person’s religion has never been more relevant and reinstated as now.

Amidst all the crimes, however, there is still some hope alive.

A recent post by Shashi Tharoor, MP from Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuraman, has gone viral on the internet and is inviting a major chunk of positivity. It’s a post where Tharoor is seen in conversation with people of both Hindu and Muslim religions, sitting in a Christian community building in Kerala.

Tharoor took to social media to share the image, showing that somewhere amidst all the communal and religious violence, secularism in India is still alive.

In the photo, Tharoor is seen talking to a man in a saffron attire along with three Muslim men sitting under a board that reads Y.M.C.A (Young Men’s Christian Association).

What followed was massive appreciation in the form of comments on the post:

Some even applauded Kerala for setting an example that everyone should follow:

There is unity in diversity indeed!
