Over the years we’ve been blessed to have witnessed the works of some truly exceptional poets and lyricists – like Kaif Bhopali who wrote the legendary song Chalo Dildar Chalo, from Pakeezah. 

Though Pakeezah remains one of his most popular works, Kaif Bhopali also wrote ghazals, and many of them were immortalizes by singer Jagjit Singh. Here are some of his shayaris that give us a glimpse of his genius:
