Have you been left tongue-tied when you saw something and couldn’t really put a name on it? There are so many things we see or feel every day, but do not have a word for. We all use a cardboard cylinder to hold a hot cup of coffee, but we don’t know what to call it. Talking to a barista, we call it a cup-holder, or a sleeve, but did you know there is a proper name for that object? It’s called a zarf.
And so we decided to get a little more curious and find what they are called. Dazzle your friends and family with these words and boast of a richer vocabulary.
