11 Intense Dialogues From ‘Gadar’ That Will Bring Out The Patriot In You

Saumya Sahni

2001 saw a myriad of Bollywoood movies belonging to diverse genres. If 2001 was the year for rom-coms like Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, it also had movies on women-centric themes like Lajja and Zubeidaa. However, 2001 also gave us two movies that stood for patriotism: Lagaan and Gadar. While Lagaan showcased British oppression on Indians, Gadar exposed atrocities levied upon the people of our own country owing to communal outrages.

Gadar is remembered not only for the India that it portrayed during the era of partition, but also for the dialogues that spoke highly of patriotism.

15 years down the line, Gadar’s dialogues still give us major country-loving feels! Let’s have a look at some of the intense quotes from the movie and bring back the tri-coloured sentiments.
