Years ago, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai first appeared on television, and TV changed for good, forever. This story of a family of a bunch of crazy characters appealed instantly to the desi audience. So popular was the show that we remember it even today, 10 years later, hoping for it to make a comeback.
What stood out in the show was that each character brought with them a different brand of humour. Out of these characters, Maya Sarabhai’s character stood out and how! Played by Ratna Pathak Shah (who you recently saw in Kapoor and Sons ), the posh and urban Maya’s witty digs at Monisha’s middle-class upbringing brought a ton of laughs.
