Aamir Khan Announces ‘Forrest Gump’ Remake As ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ & Twitterati Isn’t Running With It

Recently, Aamir Khan announced that he will produce and star in the remake of Oscar-winner Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks in the lead role.

As per News18, the remake is tentatively titled Lal Singh Chaddha and will be directed by Advait Chandan (Secret Superstar fame).

Aamir Khan made the announcement during a press meet on his birthday yesterday, where he added that he will be undergoing a physical transformation for the role as well.  

While Aamir Khan has definitely given stellar movies in the past, adapting a classic like Forrest Gump is no easy feat. And Twitterati was definitely divided on whether Aamir would be able to pull it off: 

Tom Hanks gave one of his finest performances as the lead, and it will definitely be a tough act to follow for Aamir.
