Anurag Kashyap is back. This time with a movie centered around sports and politics. The film is titled Mukkabaaz, and from the trailer/video song/promo that just dropped, it surely packs a punch.
The film is based on the struggles of a low caste aspiring boxer who falls in love with the niece of a goon.
Vineet Kumar, who’s previously worked with Anurag in Gangs of Wasseypur, Ugly and his short film ‘Murabba‘ from Bombay Talkies, is in the lead role.
The film also stars Jimmy Shergill and boy are we excited.
And since Mr. Kashyap doesn’t follow the herd, the makers have decided to release a song even before the trailer. Produced by homegrown EDM sensation Nucleya, Paintra, does promise a lot of good things. (The film has already garnered rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival).
