Let’s be honest, Indian cinema is no stranger to cop stories. But, it does appear that we have one more ‘policewali story’ to add to the mix – one that apparently has humor, romance, drama, and an aatma. Or so the trailer of Arjun Patiala appears to present.
Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, Arjun Patiala looks like a comical take on cop dramas, with the emphasis on drama.
Diljit plays the role of a cop, while Kriti is a reporter in the movie.
The movie also stars Varun Sharma (of Fukrey fame) as the ‘hero ka dost‘ and apparently, also an aatma, along with Ronit Roy as a senior cop and Seema Pahwa as one of the many villains.
While the trailer does not give much away in terms of the story, it definitely does enough to pique our interest. And the starcast has us rooting for what is hopefully, a genuine comedy!
