“Dread it, run from it. Destiny still arrives.”
You knew it, I knew it, every fan of the MCU knew it. Avengers: Endgame was going to dethrone Avatar as the highest grossing film in history. It was just a matter of when, not if.
And now, it officially has. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige made the announcement during the San Diego Comic Con in the midst of the Phase 4 unveiling. Talk about timing. And yes, we will have news on the Phase 4 announcement soon.
“Thanks to you, Avengers: Endgame is the biggest film of all-time,” said Kevin Feige as he took the stage yesterday afternoon (or this morning, India Time).
The global earnings for Avengers: Endgame stand at $2,789.2 billion which is still $500,000 behind Avatar‘s $2.789.7. However, Marvel expects make up the difference after today.
It was like Thanos said. “I am inevitable”.
