Indian web series are exploring a wide area of subjects, as is evident by the trailer of Netflix’s latest Hindi original, Emraan Hashmi starrer Bard of Blood.
Based on Bilal Siddiqi’s espionage thriller novel, The Bard of Blood, the series explores three Indian secret agents embroiled on an off-the-books secret mission, that is nothing less than a ‘suicide mission’.
The series stars Emraan Hashmi as Kabir Anand aka Adonis, who is returning to on-field duty after being severely injured in a past mission.
Joining his team are agents Isha (Sobhita Dhulipala) and Veer (Vineet Kumar Singh). However, the team is not just facing a terrorist leader, bent on destroying India. They are all facing trust issues and the constant scare of their cover being blown.
The eight episodes series – that also stars Kirti Kulhari – is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan. And Jaideep Ahlawat, of Raazi fame, stars as one of the main antagonists.
