Falguni Pathak was the queen of indie-pop scene in India in the late ’90s and early ’00s. The generation that grew up with her music fondly remembers her songs and her oh-so-cute music videos. 6. Yeh Kisne Jadu Kiya
Popular TV actress Aamna Sharif, who gained popularity with the hit TV show, Kahiin to Hoga, featured in this video. The song revolved around a student who falls in love with her professor and it was handled rather beautifully.
7. Pal Pal Teri Yaad
This song was quite different from the rest of Falguni’s songs and stood out mainly because of this reason. The hit pairing of Priyanshu Chatterjee and Sandali Sinha from the film, Tum Bin, first appeared in this video.
8. O Piya
The Gujarati influence was quite dominant in this song. Sriti Jha, who is now a popular TV actress, first appeared here.
9. Indhana Winva
All the non-Gujaratis owe their basic knowledge of the language to Falguni. Her beautiful songs and music videos, like this one, made Gujarati really popular even amongst the non-Gujju crowd. This video featured Iqbal Khan, who is now quite a TV superstar.
10. Doli Doli
Shahid Kapoor was still the young lover-boy when he featured in this video. The teenage love story was just perfect and we still love the music.
